birdscissorsfob

This scissor fob was featured in my blog on July 19, 2010. I got the little bird embroidery pattern on Jenny at Elefantz's blog. I stitched it up quickly and made this scissor fob with a pair of little thread clipping scissors that I won at a Friday night sew in! Now I won't lose my scissors any more! YAY! I really ♥♥♥ the adorable little blue birdie! How many times have I said that over the past few days??? LOL.

This adorable accessory was featured in my blog on July 19, 2010. The free pattern for this cute little mini makeup roll accessory can be found here at kellyrachel.com. The tutorial is excellent .... very simple to follow and includes lots of photos to make it very easy to follow! I highly recommend it. You can make it in less than an hour. Makes a great gift! I will be making a bunch of these for Christmas gifts out of my scraps! So fun!

I made another mini make up roll for my sister in red to match the cosmetic bag I made for her. I truly love the red..... to me it looks better than the pink!

bluebag1Posted in my blog on July 19, 2010........

I started the week by completing my July Little Bird Challenge sponsored by Jenny of Elefantz. I stitched the Blue Bird pattern found in Jenny's blog and then I appliqued it to the front of a blue cosmetic bag. I found the instructions for the cosmetic bag here at www.craftster.org. I love this pattern because the zipper is very easy to sew in and the ends of the zipper are covered quite nicely. Also the bag has a triangular shape, so it will stand up by itself. I made the bag as a birthday gift for my boss and it is personalized with her name.  I also adore the cute little heart fob that is sewed on to the zipper pull. So unique and it gives the bag such an adorable look :). A quick and easy project for a great gift!

Updated 8/9/10... made another bag. I think I like the red one better. This time I quilted the back. I think the quilting is an improvement over just interfacing!
